Roger Lent, DMD

Dr. Roger Lent has been in practice in Santa Monica since 1973. When it comes to providing dental care, this professional has the experience and background to offer high-quality care for his patients. Proud to be in practice with his eldest son Brett, Dr. Lent enjoys the opportunity to spend time with his son in a professional setting.

He did his preliminary undergraduate work at El Camino Community College and was then accepted for early admission to UCLA Dental School. Dr. Lent graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry and was honored as the “Outstanding General Dentist” in his class. Career highlights include: teaching for 25 years at the UCLA School of Dentistry; being named UCLA Alumnus of the year in 1989; active membership in the Dental Alumni Association and serving as its president twice; serving on the Peer Review Committee of the local component of the American Dental Association for 7 years and serving as its chairman for 2 years; volunteering at the Santa Monica Hospital Children's Dental Clinic for 26 years and serving as its chief of staff as well as well as serving as an expert examiner for the California State Board for 5 years. Dr. Lent currently practices at Santa Monica Bay Dental and is also a regional consultant for a major dental insurer.

Dr. Lent lives with his wife Brenda in Santa Monica where they raised their four now adult sons. As an actively involved parent, he coached all of his sons in little league and soccer; served as an assistant scoutmaster for BSA Troop 2 as well as its parent chairman while all of his sons attained the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. In his free time, Dr. Lent and his wife enjoy traveling internationally, spending time with their grandchildren and getting together with their many friends from their years in Santa Monica.
